A bay area native, Meg has competed in a variety of disciplines. Her introduction to horses took place in Pleasanton, Ca with a top hunter/jumper trainer. Meg went from her first lesson on a horse to the show ring quickly, competing in the Children's and Modified Hunter and Jumper classes. After completing High School Meg continued onto College where her interest in learning anything and everything equine took over. Meg and her hunter/jumper mare successfully competed in team penning, packing (yes, that includes mules!), and barrel racing, finishing in the top three for the county that year.
After a visit to Kentucky the winter of her last year of college, Meg was fortunate enough to meet and talk with Cathy Wieschhoff, an international four star rider. The meeting with Cathy was intended to provide Meg with some direction. Eventing had been something she had always wanted to pursue but was never in the position to do so. It was Cathy who offered Meg a job as a working student. That summer Meg packed up, sent her horse, and drove from California to Kentucky. The horses and training she received there were incredible. Meg and her mare went from Novice to Prelim in ten months, competing in places such as Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Arizona.
After a year of wonderful experiences Meg made the tough decision to go home to California to begin her own business. It was in Portola Valley that Meg joined up with Margot Guis, and together they created Creekside Stables. Meg was the head instructor there for nearly four years where she taught and brought along young horses and riders for the competition arena. After outgrowing Creekside, Meg struck out on her own creating Tally~Ho Farms.

Since 2003, Meg has built up a business which focuses on giving riders and horses all around horsemanship skills and preparing them for the competition arena. Meg returned in the winter of 2004 from two months of riding and training in Australia where she was able to re-focus her own skills as a horsewoman and is now teaching at several barns in the Woodside area, including coaching for Stanford University.
